E-cert is an on-line WEB solution used by 4000+ people facilitating in excess of $22 billion dollars worth of NZ Trade.  

Topaz has developed and has maintained over the last eight years the Electronic Certification application (“E-cert”) for the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) and New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA) that all New Zealand exporters use. This experience has significantly built our primary industry sector domain knowledge of delivering fast and effective supply chain solutions that comply with regulatory body standards.

E-cert is just one of many applications that Topaz has developed and supported for New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) Bio-Security since 1995.  It is used by all New Zealand exporters involved in the export of meat, seafood, dairy, plant, and forestry products. The certification process that E-cert manages provides importing countries with guarantees that food from New Zealand meets the health regulations of both exporting and importing countries. The use of E-cert by overseas governments has also allowed NZFSA to open new markets to New Zealand exports because of the guarantee of quality supply that an electronic certificate provides.
